Fall fashion for teens, done their way

This fall's looks are all about you. Your style, that is. As the new school year approaches, it's time for the annual American ritual of back-to-school shopping. To help, we've collected ideas from a handful of teenage fashionistas, who've submitted their own photographs and style suggestions. In addition, we talked to stylist Crystal Fambrini, who works with South Towne Center. They are into their personal style more than ever before and trying to get the deals at the store before everyone else does." Plaid fabrics, as well as coloful big bags and cardigans, are trends inspired by TV's "Gossip Girl." Graphic tees are still around and becoming more popular for girls and boys, according to Fambrini. Also popular: tight, bright-colored pants and vests, as well as high-waisted shorts, shirts and pants, thanks to Hollywood celebrities who have adopted the look. Fall fashion colors include neons and royal shades of purple and blue, while fashionable accessories include brightly colored Ray-Ban sunglasses and multiple layers of necklaces and bracelets.Personalized shoes, such as Chuck Taylor Converse and Nike tennies, are making a comeback, while the summer's gladiator sandals will remain popular this fall. For guys, Fambrini highlighted trends such as fitted jeans and light-color washes, outfitted with cowboy plaid shirts or graphic T-shirts that suit both preppy and rocker looks. Oversized Kanye West glasses will remain popular accessories, while skater shoes, such as Vans and Converse, continue to be fashion staples.
